World's Hardest BMX Trick?

11 Days, over 24 hours and 1000+ attempts to land the World's First "Backflip Nothing Front Bike Flip" or as Travis Pastrana calls it "The Free Willy" on BMX.
This trick has been on my mind for over a decade and is the hardest trick I've ever done in my life. It was a mental battle with myself to keep coming back and not give up. But we got it in the end and I hope you all enjoy seeing the process.

I'm an old guy (71) and I came across a YT short of Ryan doing this feat. I had to watch it several times to even comprehend what was going on. I thought it must have been some AI video trickery but it was legit. I just came across this explanation video and I can't express how awesome this is to me. You throw your bike into a front flip while throwing yourself into a back flip? That seems impossible as well as insane as well as cool AF. Kids these days :)

In a recent vid I watched from this channel I remember asking about maybe breaking down the difficulty of building up to learning how to do something incredible like just making it through a jump and landing on the other side. Now going as far to see this tribute paid to your friend while also explaining the effort you went through and YEARS of missing the mark. I always drive home the point about having to practice if you want to be great at something, and I tell them about how you have used your success to create a place where you give others a chance to learn and grow. You're doing great stuff for yourself, and you're sharing it with others. I admire you for that, and I make sure my students understand that part. Well done. Also, bugger me, that looks tricky as hell. The first thing I thought was how the hell do you throw your body backwards and the bike forwards. I don't know why, might be the size of the scooter, but for me the Silly Willy looks better with a tucked flip on it but with the BMX the fact that it's not a tucked makes it just so soooo much better looking. Congratulations! I'm an old fat fuck from the States who remembers spending two weeks to learn to do a proper curb endo in 1984, when BMX freestyle was just turning into an actual sport.
