A THIRTEEN-year-old boy, who once weighed 423llbs, has lost over half of his body weight thanks to weight loss surgery and is now looking to have his excess skin removed. Once known as the heaviest child in the world, Arya Permana, from Karawang, West Java, Indonesia is now an active 13-year-old after losing an incredible 220lbs. When he was 10-years-old - and at his heaviest - Arya weighed 423lbs (over 30 stone or 192kg) - the same as six boys his same age. But for all the ways that his life has improved, the weight loss has resulted in a large amount of excess skin on Arya’s arms and chest in particular. The teenager is hoping to have skin removal surgery, at the Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, after completing the national exams.

Its easier to lose weight as a boy bc u likely play sports like basketball football cricket etc. once girls get some weight its very hard to lose that. Like almost impossible without gym. I don't was skinny all my life but ppl said bad things even then that I'm not healthy, anaemic etc which wasn't true. I only had one problem with gas. Thats it. But rest i was very healthy still got told im the skinny girl in class. Suddenly I gained weight at 18. And since then its here. But since 2021 I can feel its getting more.. bottomline is, ppl will say u are too this or that. Just do u. But stay healthy for urself. Don't become crazy trying to be something but don't lose urself and get big and bigger than normal

They dont mentioned in the video. Arya was also undersupervision of master bodybuilder Ade Ray. So its not just because surgery. he did weight lift and exercise, but maybe due to drastic change to his body, his skin just cant cope and sagged. And also the goverment had helped him alot. Indonesian people are just so relief to see his changes, because his obesity isnt just the matter of physical but also affect his psychology and developmental. The changes are bringing back his hopes ! Can see it in his smile

Someone finally gets to teach them, and the most important part is that they willing to humble themselves admit their mistake, agreed to follow the instruction from the doctors, the nutritionist, and the gym instructor and making sure that the kid is in the right line. I'm agree that the parents also an angel because of that :)
