My home away from home, I live 20 minutes from the Ghost and I go regularly every 3 months or so.... It's HEAVEN for me and just relaxes my mind hearing all those games.

My exact sentiments I'm 15 minutes down Ogden. Whenever I have a shitty day or just need to relax I pop in usually at night it's nice and peaceful nobody messes with you. And Tony's diner afterwards for some breakfast for dinner... I cherish these moments...

Just having the one custom cab i have in my mancave is incredible lol. Leaving a random game on attract mode adds tons of personality and life to the entire setup. Something really cool about being in a room with even 1 cab, let alone this place! All the flashing lights and sounds, it's like a time machine to a better place.

That Sound, there is nothing quite like that sound that you get walking through an Arcade with lots of different machines all playing their intro/demo sounds, also the sound of someone tapping a kick or punch noise, with all the machines at different volumes, Such an iconic sound of anyone who spent time around arcade machines as a kid. these places are history and definitely need to be preserved for coming generations

My favorite interview I have watched on KZbin in a long time. Doc is living the dream and giving back to the retro game community in such a huge way. On a nostalgic and emotional level I could totally relate and was a nice trip back in time. I'm happy to know that places like this exists keeping arcades alive as it's one of those thing you had to grow up and live in your childhood to get. Thanks for keeping the arcade scene alive man and your videos always make my day better.

Dude i miss the arcade, The best times were spent there. The closet I felt to a arcade type game in years for home console was Gears of War (The first one). Man the over the shoulder view and close camera as you ran like a semi truck toward your enemy about to chainsaw was not just brutal but fucking awesome, and hearing your opponents in your headset bashing you for getting one satisfying Kill on them still leaves a glorious feeling of a job well done. Much like after spending many o quarters on a MK cabinet to finally pull off that one Fatality you'd work so hard for. Great Video Sir! Thanks!

Doc is one cool dude! His knowledge in the industry and the arcade machines themselves, the fact that he is open to share his numbers on his business with others to keep this alive is nothing short of amazing! Man this was a great interview, what a cool guy. His passion & dedication for this just stands out. It's not just a great watch for fans of arcades but entrepreneurs too. This is how you do a business. No mention of revenue, just about the # of people coming and their focus on being at a 100% for all the games working. I hit the Chicago area often because my in laws are all there. I never knew of this place. I went to a great arcade near or in south Barrington a couple of years back which was a lot of fun. @@RetroRalph Either way, Funspot wins. It's just a matter of taking more games out of storage. I'm sure the Galloping Ghost would be great to visit (on my bucket list). I wish I lived closer. I hear the games are packed like sardines. I wish Funspot did that, they have enough room for at least 4 or 5 times as many games in the building as they have if they were willing to be packed tight like the Galloping Ghost. The Funspot building is gigantic.
