There are TWO working triple expansion engines on the TSS Earnslaw, a steamer on Lake Wakatipu in NZ, launched in 1912. The engines produce 500 hp at 145 rpm (each or both together?) and the boilers are coal fired. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TSS_Earnslaw

@Retired Bore WoW Casting iron of this scale? Though i hear that cast iron is brittle due to high carbon content.
