World's longest caterpillar

This is actually 25 caterpillars in a row, filmed at remote Glen Helen in the West MacDonnell Ranges, Northern Territory, Australia

these are called Processionary Caterpillars and they stay together until they climb a tree and form a nest in a kind of silk bag, which is really prickly with caterpillar hair! They pupate up there and eventually hatch into moths. It is funny to try and interfere with their journey as you can confuse them and send them in a circle!!
