I usually don't comment anywhere but I don't know why my heart is provoking me to say this here : I'm an OCD, DID, IBS, BP and Diabetes patient at the young age of 25. Most of my youth and career is lost due to all this which gives me huge depression most of the time. Suddenly one day my scrolling brought me here and believe me whenever I listen sura e rahman in the voice of this very reciter (I don't know his name though), it relieves my depression and makes me calm enough to at-least sleep peacefully. .... I do belong to a Muslim family but a very liberal or a little aethist one which is far far away from religion. Even I haven't completed complete arabic recitation of Quran till now which is a norm in my society . So I don't know exact meaning of it. Only I know that it's a greeting.

I totally understand where you are coming, this surah is very soothing. I was listening to this surah last year when I was recovering from my lung collapsed and the feeling of calmness made me cry. It's a very healing surah, his voice is also amazing MashaAllah ❤ I'm sorry to hear that you have been suffering from illness from a very young age. Always remember, Allah tests those he loves, he could test you for your patience, he could be testing those around you too to see how they deal with you, he could also be inflicting trial on you to bring you closer to him ❤ the stronger your faith and closeness to him, the more easier it will get for you to accept and live your daily life without feeling the burden of your illnesses ❤ I only converted 3 years ago, I have 2 young children and I am 40 years old. I truly believe he inflicted this illness upon me to bring me closer to him and Alhamdullilah this is first year I have started praying and not missed a single prayer. I feel I can get through anything in life now, Allah SWT is holding my hands through everything in life ❤ May Allah give you patience and relief as you stay close to him ❤
