I honestly never watch these "ultra luxury lifestyle" videos on KZbin because they just don't interest me/seem like KZbinrs showing off for the sake of it, but my one caveat is personal luxury first-class experiences on long flights. I can almost feel the comfort through the screen, and also the desire to try and use everything you've been provided in your own little room within the duration of your flight (and take the rest with you of course). When I was a broke student living on a different continent than the rest of my family, a family member gifted me a business class ticket to fly to see them thanks to frequent flyer miles. I use to do a lot of travel for work all over the world and would get bump up on flights in the stats cause of my frequent flyer status. When my mom got real sick and we thought she might pass, I flew my sister into town (I was in Singapore and had to fly back to Houston). I made sure she had 1st class all the way cause she's never flown before. Use my Frequent Flyer miles to get here there and the best treatment. My boss made sure I got a business class ticket on the way back too. While mom didn't pass at that time, she did several months later, but it was good to be there just incase along with the rest of the family at that time.

@@likeorasgod - agree, it happens very often that they will change your status to a better one. If you lucky you can also track mistakes that airlines are sometimes making, and get the Business Class ticket for the price of Economy Class. Also, at some point the flight attendants can come to you and congratulate you on the long high level status (5 or 10 years) and they will chat to you a bit about it (example being BA Gold Member). Granted, all amenities have been getting worse in the last 10 years. The bags are way smaller, quality is different and so on. Not that it matter as after a while you may have a whole wardrobe at home full of them, from different airlines (hence it is easy to compare them from different time periods). This is also applicable to the Hotels, as very often they do the same if you are staying there often (in specific chains). They will uprgade your status quite easily, and you get amazing rooms.

Glad you had fun. I could not afford a first, or even biz, class on Emirates but I have flown twice JFK-India through Dubai in biz on the A380 on work trips; wow what an experience. The biz lounge was great, even had a shower which was so refreshing during my hour layover in Dubai. The food, drinks, service is unmatched. These people really make you feel special. Then on the flight, the menu, the snacks, the bar in the back, ridiculously good.

Really liked how natural and humble this guy is, it was great seeing this first class experience from a very refreshing standpoint. Just a couple of things that would have made this the perfect first experience that a few subscribers have mentioned. It would have been good to have got the true feel of the lounge by visiting more restaurants, the spa and bars. This would have been true of the first cabin itself. It would have been wonderful to have seen the showers and other facilities rather than just the cabin. A huge minus for most who enjoy first travel without paying full ticket prices are the choice of champagnes, wines and spirits airlines offer. There was not one mention of the choices available. I’m assuming this traveller was a tea totaler, which is an admirable choice, however, if you are making an extensive commentary on the amazing food that Emerates offers, it’s a huge disservice both to the Airline and future traveller, not to even make mention of what choices are available.

Absolutely posh. 👌 The flight itself was in a private 2 person cabin with everything you can imagine, even a shower, sauna, and lounge *on the plane.* Then once we landed, we got to enjoy the Emirates NYC lounge during a 7 hour layover, then flew Delta first class back home to Knoxville. Man, Delta was a letdown, what a drop in quality. 😆😉 Seriously though, Delta only wanted to get us drunk to make us fall asleep, offering us drinks constantly, like drug pushers. But after 50, it was all business & First-class travel only. What a difference. I tell people one of the biggest advantages is travel is so much more comfortable it eliminates jet lag, & travel exhaustion. Being able to stretch out totally horizontal & actually sleep is so nice. Except I don’t usually want to sleep and miss the experience lol. The downside is, I cannot fly coach or economy again, EVER, unless I have to, of course, LoL 😂.

Anyways, awesome to see - thanks for sharing and letting us live vicariously though you.

My cousin flies emirates a lot and take his own sandwiches as he only likes certain food and finds the food too rich and doesn’t like salads when travelling ! .He eats their snacks though ! It’s human nature to get used to something and not enjoy it anymore as it becomes the ‘norm’ . So that’s why people always want new things, eg the latest phone , handbag etc and the very rich get bored easily and constantly want something different imo

From this, take a packed Spirit or JetBlue commuter, particularly in a cramped middle seat, to the East Coast, or even Portland. Like waking up from a fantastic dream to finding out you have to go to work two hours early.

I flew from Miami to Brazil first class and on the way back it was a normal seat. 🤦🏽♀️ after my first time flying first class anything over 6 hours I can not fly economy. Y’all I know it’s a lot of money but it was so worth it. I wish I made enough money to fly first class always but long distance will do. I’ll just have to work 3 jobs. Oh well . If you have flown first class 8 or more hours you know it’s soooooo worth it

@@nelsonhollins Yes, but the effect would have been quite different if you had indeed been LITERALLY cracking up.
@maxb93152 жыл бұрын
@@nelsonhollins The fact I don't know you is irrelevant. My point is a linguistic one, not one relating to your character. If you cracked up literally, this means you actually had cracks in your person (as Humpty Dumpty did when he fell off the wall). To 'crack up' in the way you use the term in your initial post is a figure of speech and has a different meaning. I won't insult your intelligence by explaining what that is.

A few years ago, I was booked to take a brief flight on the 1929 Ford Trimotor, but it ended up canceled after developing mechanical troubles at the last minute. The contrast between air travel back then versus today is just remarkable.

I've flown many time nearly always economy. Something I've seen every time is that leaving economy was neat and tidy, going though business class was untidy, newspapers/cups/cans/blankets and pillows stroon all over seats and floors. Cabin crew respect economy far more than other class because of this.

Emirates could teach all other carriers (except possibly Singapore Airline’s) how to revive old school class and service. It’s a dead art. Flying the regular American carriers & many of the cheaper ones including British Airways is like riding a bus across the country… ugh.

I have to admit… this may be the very first travel blog I’ve ever watched. 15k for one seat… unbelievable… but I can see why. If there’s two of you… do you get a bigger cabin? Or do they put two of you in the single person cabin? PS - I too would feel weird as hell ringing the flight attendant.
@paulfitzpatrick62902 жыл бұрын
2 in a single cabin?..think

On the left and right sides of the plane are single cabins but down the middle are 2 cabins next to each other and if you are with someone and they have the cabin seat next to you you can leave the cabin door open between the 2 seats and it's like you're sharing 1 big cabin. I only know this from seeing it in videos and also the movie "Sex and the City 2" where they fly Emirates to Dubai in the movie lol.. that's actually how I came to know that these types of flights even existed..
@mayedalshamsi2 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are cabins for 2. I was surprised by the comment in the video, which you reiterated, about feeling weird ringing the flight attendant. Why is that? xD There are restaurants and shisha places in Dubai that come with a button fixed on your table. It's very normal here, and beats having to look around for a waiter/flight attendant, raising your hand and hoping they would see you.
@gelatinskeleton87452 жыл бұрын
@@mayedalshamsi I think it’s simply about rigging a bell to request someone like a servant… I’m the guy who will clean up my table before I get my check. I feel like an asshole leaving a mess behind.

My eyes started to roll when I saw the title of this video, think I would be seeing some entitled prick showing off stuff that most people would never get close to but alas I was wrong. You won me over in the airport with your endearing humility and when you felt bad pressing the Call button I was won over. Look, I know this extravagance exists (whether it's should is another story) but it all depends on how it's presented. Most dangle this like a carrot but you didn't. Thanks for your humility dude. It made it very watchable.

I really liked this one man, very nice. Frequent travelers are usually so douchey. I've had airline benefits most of my life, so I'm no stranger to premium cabins and usually don't pay much if anything for them, but anytime I even get domestic first class (especially with no one next to me) I'm still excited and make the most of it, usually get drunk if I don't have to drive LOL. What's the point if you don't enjoy it all? Glad to see you enjoy it like someone SHOULD.
