World’s Most Powerful Peugeot 306: Thailand's 528 hp 2.0 Turbo Monster "The Hulk" Rocks the Dyno!

The first ever circuit racing Peugeot 306 build in Thailand has just reached the dyno stage. Nicknamed "The Hulk" due to its lurid metallic green hue, the car which is being built by experienced Peugeot engine and racecar builder, Mr Wanchai Chantaraprateep, the owner of Chang Van Rama 2 garage.
The 2.0 litre, inline 4 cylinder engine (Type XU10J4R), which was sourced from a Thai market Peugeot 406, is relatively lightly modified internally and specific features include GReddy turbo, Boost intercooler and Link ecu/electronics.
The project still has some way to go before it goes track testing but with the power unit installed it was time for Gettuned Tuning Service in Lat Krabang (which installed the electronics) to check the initial power available and the results after a long night on the dyno were sensational!
A staggering 528 hp makes this the world's most powerful Peugeot 306!
See this car racing in the "Toyo Racing Car Thailand Championship 2021" when motorsport is able to resume after the current Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.

The Engine has Stock 132hp and these Guys pushing it to 528hp... Just amazing. XU10J4RS is maybe pushing it harder, but the XU10J4R is also a beast

@@ajenssen Yes. But this car has the XU10J4R Engine not the RS. The R only have 132hp Stock while the RS has 167hp

@@Maikp735KR i have the j4r, this is why i bought it. RS does not matter when it is turbo'ed and the RS manifolds get swapped out for turbo items.

There are some 306's with TCT's around 650hp over here in France, one dude even bothered to make it 4wd, very nice work tho !

That's serious power! The 4WD system would probably come in very handy trying to get the power down in a 306 chassis.

Well there was a GT500 also called "The hulk" and it broke down several time. Great build BTW all this power In a little peugeot is scary

It's worked pretty well on track too, I will do a follow up of its first season in the next few weeks.

@@akiroyuki4514 Hello Akiro, I'm a race driver for this car. I already tested this car in a track last week and found that 528 hp are quite reliable and very scary when the boost arrives 🤣 . My eyes blured when boost comes 🤣 . . I will race at Chang International Circuit in the next January (if not postpone from Covid again) so I can test how much this monster can do on long straight lines 😊

@@akiroyuki4514 Thank you very much, I have planned to record the video on November/December race at Bira circuit because it will be winter season here in Thailand. And I will also record on January race at Chang International Circuit because there are long straight tracks which turbo cars can release their full power ^_^

isn't it bad to spray cold water on a very hot surface ? like thermal shock is a thing right ? can crack or twist metal ?

Hi, they are both standard. But we made a custom metal gasket instead 😊

Hi. Yes, it's a stock crankshaft. We use max rpm not above 7500 so stock crankshaft still stand for that
