I'm a big enthusiast of KartRider, not Drift but RUSH PLUS (i.e RUSH+), but I play this occasionally, and this game is so cool, launching missiles, setting barriers, shooting water bomb, or even dropping banana peel... very fun game. (The first KartRider, CrazyRacing KartRider has stopped the service on the last day of March, no longer available to play that version of game since April)

The game hasn't aged well, it just doesn't feel that good and that's after they increased the speed after an update. Also if you've played KR rush+ then you're really going to struggle. Rush is faster and drifting feels much better.

My biggest issue with kart racers (Mario kart in particular) is it’s almost entirely based off luck not skill. Yes there’s a skill ceiling but if you’re close to your opponents in skill it’ll come down to who got the better items at the right time. Kind of frustrating.

It does remind me the second best kart game ever: Modnation Racers. It sad that that game isn't released on the PS4/5.

I've played this game just long enough to know why I love it despite the cutesy art style: it reminds me a lot of SRB2 Kart, only slightly less hectic. Then again, they haven't released the L2, L1 and Pro licenses yet and rare grade is the maximum you can upgrade karts so when they release both the licenses and the higher tiers, I'll have to see.

You can do both, theres an online and offline mode, offline is called "practice mode" where you go against ai, you also have a mode for challenges that are off line and you earn licenses if you complete them.
