I appreciate you addressing Saudi Arabia's issues while still appreciating the people you got to meet on this trip! I was a marine science graduate student at a university in KSA, and I have several friends who work/worked for the Red Sea Project. These large tourism projects are interesting, on one hand, I love that KSA is opening to tourism. However, they are doing a lot of dredging and ecosystem damage to build these resorts. These companies “act” like they care about the environment, but in the long run, it feels like a façade.

I really appreciate Nate’s disclaimer. I have a real issue with travel content creators going to countries with intensely backwards laws regarding people like myself and just brushing over that. I don’t think you shouldn’t be visiting Saudi Arabia, I’m just glad to see you thinking critically instead of saying “wow this is all 100% amazing and everyone should come here.”

Loved this. I do love to travel and experience other cultures. I totally get Nate's take on the sacrifice of culture to add alcohol. It is easier for someone like me who does not drink, but I also believe alcohol changes behavior, and the mood could get ruined by an over-drinker. You did not include a "How much this was", but I am guessing it would be out of reach. It's still really fun to watch you two enjoy it so much! Thank you.
