Cant you just hook these in to a dremel directly?

brent horton hi Iv just tried it today. You can but I would not recommend it as controlling it I found to be an issue
@derbigpr5004 жыл бұрын
Dremel spins at way too much rpm. 10000-30000 usually. Polishing with that would be a disaster. You need something that rotates under 1000 rpm. Proxxon has such "dremel-like" polishers. SPTA does too for that matter.

Have you tried using this with a Dremel against a car's body? I ask because the video only showed it being used with a Dremel and left to free-spin. The Dremel has very low torque. It will spin fast but it will stop spinning when it encounters minor resistance - or if you force it, the motor might conk out.

Vincent Ong to be honest iv have not. If you like a can test it in that way for you and do a small video if you would like me to

Today I had the chance to use it with the dremel. On the lower speeds there was a little bit of a problem with stalling but as you up the speed I found it not to be a problem.
@vincentong60325 жыл бұрын
@@GHasRandoms That's very interesting... although that also sounds dangerous. :D Most rotary polishers don't reach the speeds of the Dremel on speed 2. Do you think it would eat away clear coat fast with all that heat and speed?

When I attach it to the rotary and start polishing the pad slows down and sometimes even stop spinning. What am I doing wrong?
@GHasRandoms5 жыл бұрын
Genysmen runner the only thing I can think of is that the attachment is not tight enough on the tool. A bit like a lose drill bit in a drill if you know what I mean

Your handle is quite different than that in my kit. I bought it from Ebay. My version has a black handle that is thicker than this one in the video. The only disappointment that i encountered is the stalling and slipping of the polishing pieces. It is affected by a low quality tightening system that will not work under such circumstances. As soon as you apply some pressure on the polishing surface it will either lose on speed or it will completely stop to spin, just because of the inability to get tightened right. You are forced to modify it in order to get it work right. I already tried to add some washers inside the screw housing, but it has no impact on the tightening. There is a drilled cone and the piece that is holding the polishing piece is not made right, it is to small for the size of the cone, and it constantly slips through. It is definitely a job for a lathe. A turner should definitely be able to build some new pieces to make the shaft work like it should. I already opened up the handle. It was not that difficult, besides the mentioned problem it is built solid and has a decent quality. I guess it is the down point in comparison to a Autotriz 2.0 nanopolisher. Anyway the Autotriz costs 3 times the price of this kit, so a little bit of playing around will get it also to work right.

Derrick Master Iv never had a problem. Maybe they have changed the design

@@GHasRandoms Who knows, the piece in the handle in this kit is very problematic. The part that is connected to the rotary itself has a bigger cone fitting and the shaft cable is pretty tight. All i can say that this handle is different than that in your video. I saw that you are able to work right with it. This one is just slipping and stalling. Probably not enough testing and a bad quality control. It is exactly this kit : www.ebay.com/itm/SPTA-78Pcs-Mini-Polishing-Pads-Buffing-Pads-M14-Polisher-Pads-For-RO-DA-Polisher/163242529019?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D1a7144009cca41da82cd7c0acfbcdfcf%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D113063004769%26itm%3D163242529019%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A85ddcdd5-e21f-11e9-a210-74dbd1800943%7Cparentrq%3A792d1d7916d0aad307761e9aff846087%7Ciid%3A1

@@GHasRandoms I can try it, but honestly i don`t expect to much. They will say we are sorry for the inconvenience. In the best case they will offer me to send a replacement shaft cable for free. Anyway there will be no help, i think the whole version has a bug. In comparison to the Autotriz nanopolisher you can not expect to much for this price. There will be a solution, i have to fix it by myself. I got some ideas, and one of them will surely solve the problem.
@Derricky0075 жыл бұрын
I solved the problem. I found another cone nut or screw cap, whatever you want to call it, and another tightening piece. I don`t know if this is a brass chuck collet, it has a different color than brass, looks like chrome. At the end it did the job done. Now i got a nice handle that works like it should. I found both pieces on a Dremel grinding tool. There was several different hole sizes, finally i found the matching one for the set, and it works. I also ordered on Ebay a set of 6 pieces that includes 6 different chuck collets and a screw cap. It can surely come handy if some replacement is required. The biggest mistake i did until i found some matching replacement is that i did not tightened the end that is screwed to the rotary with two fork wrenches. This gave some extra stability and the shaft cable somehow works much better right now.
