The golden ring should be the winner of smallest piece, let me explain. So the ring might cover the same amount of space as the 1x1 Stud, but the total mass of it is less, since it is not filled in the center. And, if you took the ring shape and bent it into a straight line, it pull be shorter than the Storm Trooper Antennae. Thank you for your time.

I still have the boat set! It definitely feels like the single largest "piece", if we constrain it to "meant to be used with other System bricks" (which rules out the containers). By footprint, a 48x48 baseplate is bigger, but by 3D volume, the boat hull wins. ...If we go by "biggest thing that looks like a lego brick", most Lego Stores have a giant 3ft+ brick in the front of the store.
