DjI had a Heli GPS modul when they came out with the Naza systems 11 years ago. It worked great but took some time to program and fine tune. Great to see that other brands go from toy grade to more serious helicopters. Great video.😊

This just seems like a nobrainer to me to make the tail rotor brushless & use a nice direct drive motor for the main shaft. I would love to create such a setup to remove the torque tube & gearset on a 700 class helicopter. Theres just something I love about CCPM helicopters. Did you try flying one in FPV? I still do it sometimes because it throws people off, they're simply not used to seeing actual helicopters flying around instead of drones and they sound completely different in the air while flying too those single rotors. I prefer bystandards calling it a toy helicopter and never using the drone word and thats exactly what they do, totally different mindset seeing a familiar 'helicopter'. The FPV rig is currently on my align 450 and would love to remove the torque tube on that one.

Ordered this Helicopter from Bangood back in February 2022 right after you guys put this video out. The delivery date kept changing and finally today, 4/17/22, Bangood cancelled my order. The Heli Direct site also says pre-order with no delivery date. You all hear or know when the helicopter will be available? Not baiming you guys incase someone reads this wrong. I wish we had an answer. I will say, in the last couple of months, we have heard that the country where they are located has been on a major lockdown. It’s affecting shipping and manufacturing BigTime ☹️ Other companies are being affected by this as well. Banggood just didn’t have inventory of this helicopter here in the States when we made this video and shipping issues have gotten in the way of a TON of people getting their stuff. That is about all we know right now.

Just fly out of the box! When you plug the battery in, if you want the GPS to work you have to wait a minute or so, but no spinning it around stupidly or anything like that.

I think this helicopter is awesome, I personally don't have an issue with it. If this is what it takes for you to get your foot through the door to doing more advanced 3D good on you. But remember, this helicopter is only a stepping stone, and in my opinion is no replacement for real raw skill, so use it to gain some confidence and break you through the mental barrier of being scared of 3D, but then move past it and use it to develop more raw skill. Always push yourself to be better, to do better, and never say never. Stop telling yourself that you will never be as good as the folks who do 3D maneuvers all day long. God would want you to keep pushing yourself further and further, and if you're willing to put in your everything into it and have a little bit of faith, he will take you the rest of the way. But you have to keep at it, and apply yourself. I have personally seen what you are capable of, you can do 3D, if you keep at those basics and start mixing in more little things, just little things at a time, you will eventually get there. You already have your foot halfway in the door in that you have developed the reflex for going upside down in the first place. You simply need to tighten your timings up and hone the muscle memory. In fact I recommend for you going and watching horizon hobby's playlist of 3D tutorials over at the blade helis youtube channel.

The allure of helicopters to me is that they are inherently dangerous, hard to fly, and maintenance intensive. This is no more than a single rotor drone, and to me takes the fun out of learning to fly a CP heli. It will definitely got more people into CP helis but it wont teach them much. I worry newbies might get hurt with this thing too. Too much confidence in an inherently dangerous unpredictable machine could spell disaster. What happens when there is a GPS or electronic failure and the new pilot cant handle this thing because they have learned nothing about flying an unstabilized CP heli? I learned to fly CP 15 years ago on a mechanical bell-hiller head. I had no computer sim. Learned to hover in all orientations first, then slowly progressed into forward flight after I got all the hovering down. I was scared of that heli everytime I flew it. I crashed A LOT, repaired A LOT, and spent A LOT of money in parts. To me, this was the allure of flying CP. The reward of actually flying around doing circuits and not crashing was PRICELESS!

that is pretty awesome...that is a real cp heli ...did you have to do a rotation of heli in all directions to set up gps like drone gps quads??? that rotor would cut a 1 inch thick branch if it struck a tree... they are not toys that copter would ripp off a persons face if it hit... these cp heli's are not for kids and need to be flown in safe area away from pets, kids etc... thanks for sharing..

Just received my order. Was super excited after seeing this video. Figured this would be a perfect intro to heli flying for me. But for some reason mine won’t connect to gps. Green light continues to flash. Tried to calibrate and same results. When I try to fly it in stable mode the heli won’t fly above 6ft. Any advice for a new heli pilot. Can’t seem to find any customer service with Flywing

So, I would normally suggest following up with the company you ordered it from, but especially because you’ve supported us before I’m more than happy to help! How long do you usually wait for it to calibrate? I’m talking, radio on, battery plugged in, sitting level and just wait. Because there have been times where it feels like I’ve waited a solid four minutes before the light goes solid. My guess is you’re just not waiting long enough. Don’t touch anything, just let it calibrate. I think it beeps when it goes solid green too. It’s annoying to wait as long as I’ve experienced, but otherwise it works every single time! 👍😁😎👍

I have the gps flywing fw450v2 .I believe its larger which is much nicer to see up in the air.check it out .it has many features.it is a belt drive on the rotor head .did a vid on it on my channel.nice heli but the larger the better.and it comes with a very nice radio and it can take a 4s battery 5000mah.something you may like in the future.nice filming ABBY!!!a true pro.
