The Philippines is the world's second largest Archipelago comprising over 7000 stunning Islands nestled in the Pacific Ocean's Coral Triangle. Ever since the first Malaysian and Indonesian settlers arrived nearly 70,000 years ago, boats have played a fundamental role in shaping the country, its people, economy, and culture. In our hour-long adventure, we explore five of the Philippines' most breathtaking Islands.

My parents are both from Negros Oriental, my father when he was a kid along with his other brothers help out in the sugar cane field cutting and carrying them. Both of my grandparents from my father side were simple people back then, my grandmother a simple market vendor and my grandfather a market rent collector. Their 8 kids were spread out with different part time jobs after school. Fortunately, all 8 became professionals working as 2 engineers like my father, 2 doctors with one in the US, 1 accountant and a lawyer and 2 judges. Thanks for the video, the part were you shown the sugar cane in Negros just reminded me of my family there.
