The negative comments are from the colonially brainwashed. Ignore them. They only see good in their colonial masters.

No. What is so disappointing is the fact that her ancestors were sold by slave traders so now she must reclaim that which was lost.

adeoti blessing Chick you be silly. She is an Amalgamated new world African. Why would she pronounce her name like a Yoruba? I am sure she has various African ancestors. Hell I know Yorubas who can't even speak Yoruba. I know Yorubas who look on their spiritual system with distain and call it devil worship. In case you don't know Yoruba is a tonal language. I know other ethnic Nigerians who can't pronounce Yoruba names correctly. It is the African diaspora that has kept this alive in the West. Nigerians are generally obsessively praising Jesus.

It distasteful of African diasporas for various.. cannot pronounce or call their own name without south Yankee jim Crow accent. Commendable though, the sister is no different from others at the Shango festival.

Juwe That is stupid comment. Dummy if you grew up in another society would you sound like the folks who grew up in that society. The African diaspora is the driving force.

What's shameful, especially for a monarch, is for someone to come to their house and talk, on camera, about how much it is in disrepair and start a collection for it.
Who will crown the next Alaafin of Oyo?
