Actually there is a Fire Flower in World Star-1, its just in an invisible block on the left in the same area after the Plessie section (with the torches).

In Rainbow Run, there was actually a hidden block that contain a Fire Flower near the cloud, but it’s hard to consider at first. lol And yes! That spaceship in the background at the end of Super Galaxy is from Super Mario Galaxy! It’s Rosalina’s Comet Observatory, which is the hub world of the game. This entire level was pretty much an homage to that game. Definitely excited for you play that game someday along with Sunshine, and hopefully Galaxy 2! Though I’m wondering how you’ll play it: the original version on Wii or 3D All-Stars?

They do give you a fire flower in Star-1, it is in a hidden block next to the left fire thing. Also a tip about the next 2 worlds (mushroom and flower) there are no stamps to collect.
