4 year TIS POG here, big thing is Marines being overworked and underappreciated, I've had too many of these talks with Marines and myself. I slogged through a 6 month deployment working extremely grueling hours, trying to learn outside my MOS to assist other sections, always volunteering myself for all the grunt work and ask my seniors for tasks. I never got a thank you. Not even once. My OIC was extremely toxic always throwing paperwork on the deck, to top it off my girl of 3 years had cheated on me. I got help and I came out worse than when I went in, I told the mental health workers I didn't want to kill myself. They kept me there against my will for 2 weeks, after I told them being there made me want to kill myself they finally released me. Like??? I told them I didn't want to kill myself and they kept me but when I told them I wanted too after 2 weeks they let me go? Mental health is a big reason Marines want to get out. Mission is important but we shouldn't be pulling 1800-1900 days during peacetime. Just ranting here but god damn this shit pisses me off and I wish I never reenlisted looking back. From a Corporal of Marines, Leaders please appreciate your Marines, if they fuck up correct them. If they're doing their job and taskers are done send them devils home. Fuck that "We're staying till 1600 cause I stayed till 1600 when I was a boot" mentality. If a Marine is consistently doing a good job, write them up for a NAM. "But Corporal" you say, "NAMs are for going above and beyond!" No, Navy Coms are for above and beyond, saving a life while risking their own? Navy and Marine medal. NOT a fucking NAM. It's not a catch all medal, quit treating it like one. Read the fucking award manual guys. Love ya chaps.

I found that concept really interested when trying to understand rights liberties also found it interesting to watch how our leaders talk but they changed the understanding of which direction they're going and I also found it interesting to understand what the Bible's trying to be preached at us for but you know deep down it's in the opposite direction so I can only imagine if it's being put in on her side and ordered out in a different way

Thanks Marines. In Spain we have a big problem with the big amount of suicides in the security forces and corps like National Police and Civil Guard (Guardia Civil, police corp with military regime as french Gendarmerie). Just today a female national police was found before she could commit suicide, and she was found by a two Guardia Civil patrol unit. In Spain what we think is tha we only have our partners and brothers in this situations. The govern doesn't do anything real with this problem. Cheers of this former spanish Marine, actual Guardia Civil in an antiriot unit called GRS.

We just had the findings of our own major investigation into veteran suicide here in Australia. I have not read it, but news reports suggest it is dark reading. We must all do better to support our vet's, and each other in general. Semper Fidelis.

My friend Lance Corporal Noyola completed suicide on the big Island 10/2006. Blue falcon Marines and untreated mental health from phantom fury 2 vets. 05-09 Marine Corps was unforgiving and didn't allow many combat Marines opportunities to unfortunately mess up and get trauma informed help. NCO's weren't taught it, so it was never given. Discipline for mental health pushes many to further risky behavior often involving alcohol and firearms. Too many good Marines are no longer here, I was homeless on day 1 out of the Corps 0311 and I never would have thought. I hate my life and often marinade in the what if's, one day I might get better chances are not in my favor. I love the Corps until my last breath, I don't love every experience I love that I got to spend time at the Lumber Yard in the Korengal. I don't know, I wish I was connected to while in rather than casted out.

I've been real distraught and angry as fuck for over ten years feeling like I had been betrayed. There was enough positive moments in the Marine Corps, even through the worst of time during and after to pull me out of that, as much as myself knew I just had to get some shit out of my system. I still put in, put out, and go hard. All in all, I have evolved, I thank yall. Any Marine going through it I'd still stand by and walk with beyond the ends of the earth. 🐦‍🔥🪩🔱
