World Tour Grand Finals Highlights: Xu Xin vs Abdel-Kader Salifou (1/4 Final)

Salifou is much weaker, no doubt about it, but he tried to make the best out of his abilities and managed to pull off some good points nonetheless. We can have the impression Xu Xin toyed a bit with him but one shouldn't forget Salifou is still a very capable player as he qualified to the World Tour Grand Finals winning 3 opens (albeit "second-rate" ones, that showed his consistency) and he eventually made it to the quaterfinals. Of course Xu Xin is better on every level and had a big margin but I think there's no reason to think Salifou is a bad player, he demonstrated over the year he was a great player (that will most likely enter the top 100 after this tournament as he was WR104 if I'm not mistaken). He even stood out by almost beating Fan Zhendong recently (Germany Open on November), only losing 4-3, that says something about his skills.
