The fact that i'll never be able to see these towers standing makes me sad

I remember I saw the Twin Towers in December 1996. It was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever lived. When I was at the top of the North Tower, the view from up there was absolutely fabulous. Even though I was only 6 years old, I still remember it like it was only yesterday. Thanks for the upload.

The Tower you stood on was not the North Tower. She had the antennae. You were standing on the South Tower's roof. That was her outdoor Observation Deck. I miss them too.

That very same plaza the "Austin J Tobin" plaza that hosted concerts, and brought unity together by humans, would be littered by human body parts after 8:46 AM on September 11 2001. Pretty messed up, literally.

i'd like to go back to anywhere back between 1993- 2003. reason being is cause the subway and bus fare was $1.25 from 1993 - 1995 and $1.50 from 1995 - 2003. its $2 now but NEXT MONTH , its gonna be $2.25 its not much and its easily affordable but still, its kinda annoying!

around summer of that year me and my family flew to Philadelphia to visit relatives, and also visited New York, I remember I being in one of the WTC and took a picture looking out the window. I loved visiting New York the energy there was so lively. Maybe that sounds weird to some but I am from a one-horse town in AZ so it was an amazing experience for me.

@natureboy84 I don't think they should rebuild them the -exact- same way, but to have the iconic Twin Towers restored would be incredible. I don't think The Freedom Tower is going to have the same impact, standing there all on its own.

@jason66801 - I had an old VHS camera when I went to the WTC in 1994 and took video from the roof, and it did the same thing. I think the giant antenna caused the interference.

There was very little architecturally beautiful about the WTC. The lobby was nice. The underground mall was uninspiring.
@LilBaby136614 жыл бұрын
Ahh i got a question how did it smell inside...random question
@JoseMorales-lw5nt3 жыл бұрын
Not a weird question, considering that the sense of smell can evoke past memories much like sight and touch. Having visited the original WTC while growing up in The Bronx in the 80's/90's, I can recall it depended on the time of year. Fall to winter months would have those touches of pine from the reefs hung around the lobby like the ones in this very video. Plus the insulated visitors coming in from the cold brought about cool, quick breezes cut off by the building's heating system. Almost had a new car smell walking around there. Especially heading to the elevator banks. The perfumes, colognes, and cigar smells from the sea of humanity rushing about made for a fun atmosphere. My few warm weather visits recalled the hints of sweaty folks milling around the mall below street level as the air conditioning cooled you off. It never seemed to be empty in those Twin Towers. No matter the season, it always felt like you were already near an office cubicle. Any white collar workers will know the office scent I'm referring to. Blue collar guys would appreciate the people smells that passed through those eternal lobbies. God, I really miss those days. Hope this old New Yorker helped answer your question...😎🇵🇷🇺🇸🗽🦂😊
