🗽World Trade Center twin towers || day in life before 9/11

At a windy altitude of 110 storeys, marvels of engineering and nerves of steel are required for even the most ordinary task, like keeping over 13 acres of glass of the twin towers, clean.
There are 43,600 windows in both towers, which are cleaned by custom-built devices, and by hand.
The World Trade Center houses more than 430 businesses from 28 different countries. There are 198 elevators that serve the 50,000 people who work in the North Tower and South Tower.
The world famous twin towers attract 1.8 million visitors on average each year, as well as iconic film characters such as Spiderman and, King Kong.
On the 106th and 107th floors of the North Tower is Windows on the World, a spectacular venue for dining, entertainment, and celebrations, which is served by 450 employees. The restaurants occupy more than an acre of floor area, and offer dining rooms for two to 2,000 guests.
Equally notable is The Mall at the World Trade Center on the concourse level, which contains eateries and 80 retailers; it is the largest indoor shopping center in Downtown Manhattan. The mall also serves as a point of access to the subway station on the A, C, and E trains.

The reason the 9/11 hijackers used B767 planes to slam into the world trade centre is because they were the largest aircraft used on internal US flights. When you look at the size of the twin towers it would need the b767s to cause substantial damage, when u look at the videos of 9/11 the wing span of the jets with fuel onboard are still a bit shorter in width than the width of each tower.

yes thanks for mentioning! that is absolutely true indeed! the airplane width was definitely less than the width of the tower. the overlay in this video (where the airplane is shown flying much lower than impact zone) is a theatrical visualization and not regarding perspective or actual airplane type. nonetheless, it definitely crossed my minds many times during video production 😉 and very glad to hear your attention/interest in the details too.

@@ModelSkyscrapers yes they were B767 - 200 series i believe that hit the towers, 300 series are the longer versions. Most internal US flights are mainly on smaller jets such as b737, a320s etc so for max impact a 767 wad best option as larger widebodies ie 777 would fly out the US. Whats the length in metres of each side of the towers, i believe i heard each floor is an acre in size? Been watching some of the news footage from that day, i cant imagine seeing something like that occur, be thinking am I dreaming here or something!
