The maps are historically accurate to the day. They obtained maps of the day and photographs to recreate everything as close to as original during WWII

PHL, Hill 400 and Hürtgen for example are very inaccurate, PHL being flat grounds with practically no bushes, trees, buildings, etc on it, Hürtgen being a much thicker forest without buildings other than fortifications in the area depicted and Hill 400 didn't have such fortifications on it either

You should try out sniping in Post Scriptum. If you want realism, that's your game. You'll actually have to zero your guns, account for bullet velocity, etc.
