Brazil fought the Nazis in Italy, which campaign was so successful that the Brazilian division won the highest war decoration given to non-American foreigners. 148th German Infantry Division commanded by Otto Fretter-Pico, with almost 15,000 soldiers, along with remnants of the Italian Bersaglieri Division, surrendered unconditionally to the Brazilian Expeditionary Force. Due to their campaign and absolutely exemplary treatment of the local population, Brazilians were considered liberators and had a great reputation in Italy, being considered respectful people even in the tremendous horror of war. After the war, Brazil was chosen as the country to administer Austria, Adolf Hitler's home country. Due to its good reputation, Brazil was chosen to lead peace campaigns at the UN, being the country to act in Palestine and Israel, respected to this day by these people. To this day, Brazil has never lost any war it has entered.
