Beginning with the construction of Germany’s Siegfried Line or West Wall, this one hour film concentrates on the war fought throughout Europe, initially outlining the German advance up until the fall of France, followed by the allies ‘long road back’, with the final destruction and surrender of Berlin.

Hitler:What? Mussolini: Uuuhhhhh, is there any chance u can come down to Greece for a few weeks? Like, NOW? PLEASE!!?? Hitler: What? U want me to postpone my invasion of the Soviet union and divert my troops to Greece? Ok ok ok. Shouldn't take more than 3 weeks. We should still have enough time before winter hits.

What is not known is that France-Chechoslavkia - Soviet Union had an agreement and war should have happened when Hitler invaded Chechoslavkia in 1938. Poland and the Soviet Union hated each other. The Soviets lost trust in the West after the Munich agreement seeing that under Chamberlin and Halifax the British preferred the Germans. The Soviets then became greedy and using their hatred of the Poles entered into the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact which meant disaster for the European continent.

They're not so innocent now either, are they ?! Attacks on ethnic Germans in former German territory and land grabbing in Czechoslovakia. No moral victory for Poland or anyone in this war. The bloated ego of their Elites cost their country dearly.
@gaminglichgamer4035
@gaminglichgamer4035 2 жыл бұрын
@@alexkid7166 Germany always wanted to invade Poland regardless of what they did and the Soviets always wanted the land from Poland. Regardless of how the Polish acted, Poland would've been invaded anyways. After all, Germany's intention was always to get a land border with the Soviets so that they can actually invade the Soviets.

Someone forgot to mention Germanic people's, divided, carved up and gifted to Poland at the end of WW1. This was the German goal of reunification. A return of this may have avoided this entire chapter, but I doubt it! After severing parts of the Germanic people and flaunting it since ww1, this was probably unavoidable. The treaty of Versailles did More to cause WW2, than ANY single PERSON.

I often hear people ask how could soldiers still carry on fighting when their city lay in ruins. It is very simple, WWII was a war of annihilation & to the last man. If Germany had conquered their goals & only had one home left standing in germany while the USSR had none that would be a victory, likewise, if germany lost 100m people but USSR lost 101m then that too would be a victory. It wasnt anything liek today's wars. If Germany or the USSR had nukes back then they wouldve used it without any hesitation - they would absolutely level each other's nations there is no doubt about it - all they care about is who is left standing at the end, and if nobody was left standing that too would be a victory in their eyes as "at least we took them with us" type of mindset. Crazy bastards

First, the russians killed around 20-24.000 officers and high rank officials at Katyn,, not 4.000. Secondly who managed to get to UK or France they did it across Romania, in my my hometown Ramnicu Valcea they stayed during the whole war a few thousands polish people, also the polish gold was here for safe keeping
