Very well done! Thanks for posting. The sheer amount of plastic for the Russians makes any of these fights so interestingly one sided. Really like you plans and tactics breaks, super cool.

Another excellent piece of battle reportage! Linda Baker there seems particularly keen on it, maybe she's rooting for Ivan and Oleg? Should add the "real" models in the report are superb. It really shows in the close ups, and the close ups really give a nice perspective. BZ!

The video set up explaing the the vehicile types and lay out along with the unit descriptions was excellent. Now the downside A hobby that offers a what if scenario of late armour and preceded to throw out the book of actual armour doctrine.. Shoulder to shoulder of armoured vehicles just so you can fit as many models onto an extremely narrow table. Has recce vehicles ...does not use them but just throws everything up in one go. Has a full air armada ....which looks absolutely out of place on such a small table. Now imagine the amount of subscribers you'd have keeping the video format..again which is excellent but had a rule set that allowed for huge clashes of armour that is at least historically accurate with armoured warfare /tactics. Perhaps something like modern spearhead with 6mm models.
@matthiuskoenig33783 жыл бұрын
6mm doesn't look particularly good due to the small scale of the models very few detail. but when playing larger scales (like 15mm and 28mm) you either sacrifice historical spacing or historical unit sizes. seeing your models is important hence why 28mm is the most popular scale followed by 15mm and 20mm. 6mm and 10mm (and even more so 2mm) are far less popular.

@@matthiuskoenig3378 6mm isn't popular .....? I guess I better tell the two groups I'm associated with numbering over 10.000 6mm players.

Love your team yankee reports! I’m very curious as to why you consistently say “brew up” instead of “blow up”?

Good question, I think thats the slang we would use when I was conducting field training in the army or perhaps I read it in a book. I'm not really sure.

Great video, however, I've noticed a mistake: hinds can't stay still, they always have to move like a jet, because they have a standing rof of '-', which means they can't spot for artillery. Anyway nice batrep, waiting for more)

Wow, that's a great catch, didn't even think about that one, but its great to see someone's paying close attention! I'm working on the next one now. Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed it.

I never realized that. Its one trick up my sleeve I guess I can only use with NATO chopper. Thanks

Great video. Although I was naturally hoping for a NATO victory, as soon as I saw the German force, I realized they didn't have enough firepower to kill that many targets! The Bundeswehr definitely needed some ArtyGuns!

Silly West Germans not bringing any artillery! What were they thinking?
@Anvilarm073 жыл бұрын
Another great batrep. Might have been better for the west Germans to sacrifice the infantry on the forward objectives, and keep the Jaguars alive further back firing AT missiles at max range.
@gonetogroundbattles14133 жыл бұрын
That probably would have been a better tactic. Park ATGMs at long range and stay put!
@nickkobe97293 жыл бұрын
Nice video. However, the deployed forces are much to large for the frontage. Armored forces would never be that close to gather. You could never miss. You might miss what you were firing at, but you would hit something. Modern war gaming that either claim to be historical or realistic is neither of these. Just complicated.
@gonetogroundbattles14133 жыл бұрын
You are indeed correct. The game scale does make one have to deploy too close together. Artillery should be much farther away, ATGMs would be much farther and the like. I even used a much larger than standard table. 6mm might allow for more realistic spacing, but I do love building and painting the 15mm models.
