Nope. The USA has its quota of cardinals and others like Peter B Wells and Charles Chaput are in the queue before this Man. The focus is on the periphery, places in Asia and Africa that have been ignored for decades. It is these places which have less clerical sexual abuse scandals. Morally they are purer and that is where the future of the church is. Because the USA is a super power an American Pope is impossible but who can tell. Next.Pope might be an Italian (there is a Franciscan in his early 50), another Pole (there are two high profile chaps in Rome), if they need a Chinese deal it could be a Chinese from Asia, so the cardinal from Hong Kong is a man to watch. It could have been 3Jesuits in a row- Francis, Georg Ganswein and then Stephen Chow. But Ganswein never received the red hat although he was more than deserving. All of these are more eminent than the US bishop. Bishops also have power, honour and in some parishes lots of money. They have 3out of 4.

I think Bishop Barron is just as qualified as anyone else in the Church to attain the highest position. And in the end, no man is deciding.

There is 100% a resurgence of faith starting to happen under the radar right now; some are starting to notice. I've had friends who haven't been to mass in years who are asking me about liturgical traditions and online apologetics sources. I have atheist friends asking me which Bible translation they should start reading because they're starting to think it might all be true. The younger generation is about to surprise a lot of people

I'm Catholic from Indonesia and never read Bible cover to cover by myself, but this podcast has helped me a lot to have a better understanding about the Bible

During the pandemic, I told our bishop that we were experiencing a pandemic not of sickness, but of fear. Unfortunately, we were ruled by "safety" for almost two years. The cross is not safety!

What an amazing new take on the Road to Emmaus ... walking with those walking the "wrong way". Like the Holy Father, he walked with the sinners, heard them, and accompanied them. Beautiful reflection. (focus) missionaries and all missionaries must internalize these profound truths by the good bishop and proclaim them boldly. By embracing the real Christ, finding their mission, and sharing his love with the world, they can bring joy, hope, and transformation to those they encounter on their journey so they can go "in haste" and help them return to the right way.
