So many times I've wanted a monkey ... and then I stop and get real for a moment. They're forever in diapers. They learn fast and can turn on all of the lights as well as the stove and the microwave if they see you do it once. They learn to plug things into outlets. And, even the smaller guys can take apart your furniture, your TV and whatever else they can get hold of. The easiest would be the Lion Monkey because they fit in the palm of your hand, but they can be very fragile and thus, not good as pets I don't know that they're legal to own even with a license in any state in the US. Anything larger like a chimp would be devastating to your dwelling unless you have it purpose built with sufficient outdoor space. Not only that, but if the chimp gets honestly angry, they can dismember you in a heartbeat. They're that much stronger than humans. So, yeah, no primates. Bummer.
