This video takes you on an incredible trip to discover the ten most conservative states in the United States and the number of liberals that live in each. These states really believe in certain ideas about how things should work, like keeping the government smaller and holding onto traditional values.
When someone looks for a new place to live and maybe buy a home or some real estate, the realtor isn't going to tell you these things.
In this video, we're going to learn about what makes these places so conservative and why they stick to their beliefs. We'll look at different things, like how people live, what they think is essential, and how they make rules for their state.

South Dakota definitely very conservative except for Pine Ridge Reservation and Vermillion. When I was there in July 2020, no one wearing a mask or social distancing, 100% capacity everything, people giving you weird looks with you in a mask, and lots of Trump signs as well as having the Sturgis Motorbike Rally a few weeks later despite warnings not to have it.

Caleb, pull up the Pew Research report, which has the electorate broken down by conservative, moderate, liberal and "don't know". The numbers for my state, Arkansas, are very close to what was reported here. Arkansas breaks down as follows: 42% conservative, 38% moderate, 14% liberal and 6% don't know, and in most states, the moderate number is the largest or close to the largest number. For comparison, California is considered a Democratic / left leaning state, but their statistics are: 31% conservative, 34% moderate, 29% liberal and 6% don't know. My point is that most states are moderate.

A lot of the conservative states have just a few electoral votes. It's not just how the moderates vote that determine elections and how the congress is made up and who sits in the White House.

Facts! Red states almost entirely all have fewer electoral votes than blue or battleground states. However, I believe there are more red than blue states and that can fill in the gaps. Then there is the battleground states that often determine who is elected president. Ohio is a major example of that, between 1968 to 2016, every president that was elected had won Ohio, so basically it’s almost like you’ve had to win Ohio in order to win the election.

A slightly different spin is what you see when you look at voting maps. Red counties are an ocean across the entire US. Dotted around the map, you'll find islands of Blue. Those are the bigger cities. The logical explanation is that ideologically, Conservatives are more rural. Liberals are more urban. Are liberals drawn to the cities or are the cities making people liberal? It makes sense, if you live out in the boonies, you just want small government that leaves you alone. If you live in the city, you survive by the services the government provides. You need bigger government. That means your politics are driven more by where you live, than what you believe.

When I travel, for work and play, I don’t use political affiliation as the best way to judge a states’ inhabitants. I use the states gun control laws as a guide. The more unconstitutional gun laws also means they don’t care about the first, fourth, and fifth amendment. They prefer authoritarian govt. and unchecked police, and are more idealistic than pragmatic.

An important thing to note about moving based on politics is that your local government and community will be much more relevant to your day-to-day life than your state government. For example, most people consider Illinois to be a solid blue state, however the vast majority of it (in terms of surface area, not population) is more conservative. I’ve lived all over Illinois and you’d never know it was a “blue state” unless you live in very specific areas, most notably Chicago.

I am transgender, though I consider myself conservative. I presently live in Madison Wisconsin. Madison has a reputation of being left-leaning, however, I am the president of a well known organization that is tasked to win support for Donald Trump. Probably surprising to Most people, from what I can tell, Donald Trump has broad support in Madison. This November will likely be a red wave that will take the likes of Wisconsin, Michigan, and other Midwestern states for the Republicans.

I live in Ohio, a red state with a high amount of Conservative Republicans in the rural parts of the state and many Government legislatures. I live in Columbus which is more becoming Democrat. Democratic cities are not the cause of crime, crime is found in smaller towns and in Red states.

Right, it’s been awhile for you hunh? Every time I vote, they have electronic machines with hardly any privacy. The last election, a volunteer at the polls leaned his arm on top of the “wall” to my computerized voting booth and was going to watch. I just stood there staring at the system board for about a minute, then turned my head, locked eyes with the guy wearing a plain blue T shirt and said “GET OUT OF HERE!” I guess I was the first person to address him watching me vote.

Don't know where moderates have started leaning left came from. I haven't met a single moderate that leans left. Met a lot of liberals leaning right though. Libertarians used to be liberal but since the meaning of that word changed they're definitely conservative now. A lot of younger people lean liberal now because they believe the lies that democrats are going to make life better for them and think socialism is a good idea. Given none of them have lived in another country that practices to experience how easily corrupted and fucked up it becomes

I’m from Missouri (but fairly close to TN, very familiar with it) and I live in Texas. Tennessee and East Texas are very similar culturally and politically, you’d probably feel right at home.

East Tennessee has been a great alternative lately. We'd love to have you. I live closer to the Tri-Cities area. This would be Bristol, Kingsport and Johnson City. Each city has it's amenities and offerings. We are also borderline Virginia/North Carolina. I'm just the opposite, I have family in Oklahoma/Texas.

I’ve had some interesting conversations with people about liberalism and conservatism, and found that people’s definitions of each were all over the map. It seemed to me that asking someone if they’re a conservative or a liberal is a little big like asking if they think that most other people are getting more sex than they are.

Its why I cannot stand any kind of titles, or claiming to any groups or ideologies, because not only do the definitions and use of them all constantly change, but they also suffer from conflation, extrapolation, corruption and otherwise entire subjectivity completely defying the actual definitions of them, meaning absolutely nobody agrees on what any of them even truly mean, thus can't agree on who or what they even are. You can have a group of Libertarians, and they'll all disagree on what that means because of it, as an example. Same with liberal, conservative, moderate, centrist, communist, socialist, so on, so forth.

This is why whenever I talk with anyone, I try to make to not make any assumptions, and I always ask them what they mean by the terms they use. If they say they are, for instance, a Libertarian, then I ask them what that means to them, and how it works for them.

Liberal = giving (cooperative) / Conservative = selfish (leadership) The more honesty and respect (character development) a person has, the more that person veers towards cooperation (friendship and authenticity), and less towards leadership (social enemies and lying). Conservatism is authoritarianism. Authoritarianism is machismo (the willingness to go to violence), a lack of maturity, and childish (crude) behavior and thinking. The more refined the human mind becomes within, the more focused on telepathy it becomes. Friendship, authenticity, telepathy, and cooperation are synonymous ideas. That is a liberal mentality. Live and let live. Focus on developing yourself, instead of bashing other people socially to build yourself up.

By literal definition, Liberal = Freedom, and Conservative = Preservation and Tradition. One represents true freedom, freedom to live, choose, do, think and believe without restriction (true definition of freedom), while the other is the embodiment of maintaining consistency, or the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Of course in reality, if you've fallen for these left vs right narratives, blue and red, linear spectrum shtick, then you've successfully been fooled by those in control of the world. That's the point, not only to keep us distracted with lies and bullshit, but also to ensure division. After all, if you divide, you conquer. And think about the division you've already shown you buy into in your comment here. That itself is the proof that you've been fooled.

As a Canadian, I find your videos very interesting and informative! I’m still trying to understand the US of A and its people! To give a positive I 😅would like to add that almost all Americans I have met are very nice. I took a trip to Italy once. I was the only Canadian, there were 2 Aussies and the rest were Americans. Only 1 couple I didn’t like - ex-policeman and his wife from Florida. The rest were super!

That feeling signals that you don't see yourself as one of the outliers who would be in danger for just living your life. In highly conservative states violence against targeted groups is very real and so forces folks in those groups to have to consider that.

Women, racial and/or sexual minorities, highly-educated individuals, and people who do not easily fit in categories will not find it easy to inhabit the Gilead that a good part of the U.S. is becoming. both OriannaDixon and Biggs seem to intentionally ignore this aspect of life in this country, opting for a live-and-let-live attitude that is possible mostly (and soon it will be ONLY) in the blue states. There is no reciprocity from the other side.
