Texas Global Dialogues: Clean and Green? Challenges and Solutions for a Sustainable Future

The third Texas Global Dialogues, a virtual panel discussion series for UT Austin alumni covering critical global issues, featured a panel of UT Austin thought leaders sharing thoughts about energy and sustainability. This discussion was presented in collaboration with the Cockrell School of Engineering and the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
Panelists included Jamie Beard, Executive Director of the Geothermal Entrepreneurship Organization; Varun Rai, Director of UT's Energy Institute; and Michael Webber, Chief Science and Technology Officer at ENGIE. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Sonia Feigenbaum, Senior Vice Provost for Global Engagement and Chief International Officer at UT Austin.
The event series, created in collaboration with Texas Exes, brings UT expertise and innovations to our 530,000 alumni in various regions of the world. The dialogues connect UT’s academic mission to our global Longhorn community and provide an opportunity for alumni to meet and participate in meaningful conversations with each other and university affiliates.
