Full Video | Elephant Attack | കൂർക്കഞ്ചേരി പൂയത്തിനിടെ ആന ഇടഞ്ഞു

കൂർക്കഞ്ചേരി ശ്രീ മാഹേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ തൈപ്പൂയ ആഘോഷ എഴുന്നെള്ളിപ്പിനിടയിൽ ആനയിടഞ്ഞു. വെളിയന്നൂർ വിഭാഗത്തിന് എഴുന്നെള്ളിപ്പിനായി നൽകിയ ആന ആണ് ഇടഞ്ഞത്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ തിടമ്പുമായി എഴുന്നെള്ളിപ്പിന് എത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് ഇടഞ്ഞത്. ക്ഷേത്ര നടയിൽ നിന്നും നടപ്പുരയിലേക്ക് കയറുന്ന സമയത്ത് ആന തിരിഞ്ഞു നിൽക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പഞ്ചവാദ്യം കൊട്ടിക്കലാശത്തിലേക്ക് എത്തിയ നേരത്തായിരുന്നു പെട്ടെന്ന് പിൻവശത്തേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞ് പ്രകോപിതനായത്. ഇതിനിടയിൽ ആളുകൾ ചിതറി ഓടി. പാപ്പാന്മാർ ആനയെ അടിച്ചതോടെ സ്ഥിതി വഷളായി. രാത്രി 6.10 ഓടെയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം.
ആനക്ക് മദപ്പാടുണ്ടായിരുന്നതായി ആക്ഷേപമുണ്ട്. ആനപ്പുറത്ത് നാല് പേരുണ്ടായിരുന്നതിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ താഴേക്ക് ചാടി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. രണ്ടുപേർ ആനപ്പുറത്ത് തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. ഇവരെ കുടഞ്ഞിടാൻ ആന ഏറെ ശ്രമിച്ചുവെങ്കിലും ആനയുടെ കഴുത്തിലെ വടത്തിലും രണ്ട് പേരും കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചിരുന്നും ആനപ്പുറത്ത് തുടർന്നു. ഒരു മണിക്കൂറെടുത്താണ് ഇടഞ്ഞ് നിന്ന ആനയെ ശാന്തനാക്കിയത്.
ഇടഞ്ഞ ഉടനെ തന്നെ ആനയുടെ ഇടത്തെ കാലിൽ വടം കെട്ടി സമീപത്തെ ആലിൽ കെട്ടിയിട്ടതോടെ മറ്റൊരിടത്തേക്കും ആനക്ക് ഓടാനാവാതിരുന്നതും കോവിഡ് നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങളുടെ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ ആളുകളെ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചിരുന്നതിനാൽ തിരക്കില്ലാതിരുന്നതും പൊലീസിന് നിയന്ത്രിക്കാൻ സൗകര്യമായതും മറ്റ് അനിഷ്ട സംഭവങ്ങളൊന്നുമുണ്ടായില്ല. ആനയുടെ പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള തിരിച്ചിലിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നവർ പെട്ടെന്ന് ചിതറി ഓടി. ഇതിനിടയിൽ പ്രകോപിതനായ ആനയെ പാപ്പാൻമാർ മർദിച്ചത് ശാന്തനാവുന്നതിന് പകരം ആന കൂടുതൽ പ്രകോപിതനാവാനിടയാക്കിയിരുന്നു. തൃശൂരിൽ നിന്നും എലിഫെൻറ് സ്ക്വാഡെത്തി ക്യാച്ചർ ബെൽറ്റിട്ട് ആനയെ തളച്ചു.
തളച്ചതിനു ശേഷമാണ് ആനപ്പുറത്തുണ്ടായിരുന്ന രണ്ടുപേരെ ഏഴുമണിയോടെതാഴെ ഇറക്കാനായത്. കോലവും തുടർന്ന് എലിഫന്‍റ് സ്ക്വാഡിലുള്ളവർ ആനപ്പുറത്തുകയറുകയായിരുന്നു.

ആന ഒരു വന്യ ജീവിയാണ് . അതിനെ വനത്തിൽ സ്‌വൈര്യമായി ജീവിക്കാൻ വിടുകയാണ് വേണ്ടത്. ഉത്സവങ്ങളിൽ എഴുന്നള്ളിക്കുന്നതും അത് ഹിന്ദു മതാചാരങ്ങൾക്ക് വിധേയമായാണ് എന്ന് ന്യായീകരിക്കുന്നതും തെറ്റാണ്. അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നവർ വൻ സാമ്പത്തിക ലാഭം മാത്രം ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി ആണ് അതു ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ആനയുടെ ബുക്കിങ്ങിൽ വരുന്ന പണം, ബുക്കിങ് ഏജന്റിന്റെ കമ്മീഷൻ, ഇടനിലക്കാരന്റെ കമ്മീഷൻ ഇങ്ങനെ നാനാവിധത്തിൽ ആണ് പണം ഒഴുകുന്നത്. ഇതിന്റെ പീഡനം മുഴുവൻ സഹിക്കാൻ വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ട സാധു മൃഗമാണ് ആന. വിശ്വാസികൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ടത്, ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നത് ദൈവങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടില്ല എന്നുള്ളതാണ്. ആനയെ പിടിക്കുന്നതും കഠിനമായ മർദനമുറകൾ പ്രയോഗിച് അതിനെ വരുതിയിൽ ആക്കുന്നതും പിന്നീട് ആജീവനാന്തം അതിനെ ഇങ്ങനെ എഴുന്നള്ളത്തുകളിൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിച്ചു ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിക്കുന്നതും നിയമപരമായി നിരോധിക്കണം. ഒരു ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലും ഇതിന് അനുമതി കൊടുക്കരുത്. അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്ന സാഹചര്യം ഉണ്ടായാൽ ഉത്തരവാദികളെ തക്കതായ ശിക്ഷകൾക്ക് (ജയിൽ വാസം, പിഴ മുതലായവ ഉൾപ്പെടെ) വിധേയർ ആക്കണം. ഇടഞ്ഞ ആന പല അവസരങ്ങളിലും മനുഷ്യരുടെ ജീവൻ എടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതി ഉത്തരവാദികൾ ആരാണ്. അതും ഇങ്ങനെ ക്രൂരതക്ക് മുതിര്ന്ന മനുഷ്യർ തന്നെയല്ലേ. ആന വേണം എന്ന് നിർബന്ധമാണെങ്കിൽ ആനയുടെ ബൊമ്മകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി പ്രദര്ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഉചിതം. Elephants should be allowed to live peacefully in their natural surroundings, in the forest. Catching elephants and domesticating it should be banned. Gods also should be really happy if we do that, instead of torturing such a beautiful creation of the god. The only interest of the people doing such cruelty ,is the money involved in this. The charges, commissions etc, etc. Government should immediately intervene and stop this atrocities towards Elephants.

After watching this video.. my opinion is non of the police officers came near that incident and in the last minute of the futage you can see police officers or constables are making a video of the situation or making the calls.. but in the video also non of the official officers were seen but if anything would happened it would the viral video as of now... why the government is not taking action on this.. Each and Every civilians who made this happen calmly and didn't harm the elephant I am thankful for your respect 🙏🙏
