I've been obsessed with 2-chord songs for a while now and I came to realize that most of the songs that draw my interest lately are 2-chord songs like 'I Don't Live Here Anymore'. I think it tells a lot about a band, producer and songwriter that they can elevate a 2-chord harmony to so many different heights, opening up sonic landscapes with a non-stop infectious groove that just makes you feel like you're on a never-ending trip to paradise. You can begin your journey discovering 2-chord songs with 'Dreams' by Fleetwood Mac and 'Horse With No Name' by America. Of course there are hundreds of classic songs with 2 chords but it's always a pleasant surprise when you find new modern bands that can build up on that and expand. The War on Drugs did it perfectly with 'I Don't Live Here Anymore'. If you know more addictive 2-chord songs, please, let me know.

It's more produced and fits more suitably into their ideal genre. But to the cost of their authenticity, their music used to have. I finally accepted that the magic from Lost In the Dream will be something from the past. But the fact that they made an album as perfectly beautiful as that is enough for me. Its sound was universal, unlike their new work which seems to have a clear direction, as if formulated by an algorithm,
