Avoiding hydroplaning is nothing to do with the tyre - it's how fast you're driving. Even if you have a brand new tyre at the correct pressure, you can still suffer from hydroplaning if you drive too fast. All you have to do to avoid hydroplaning is drive slower.

Cardinal Biggles This is true. It's raining and I just parked right now. I was hydroplaning because I accelerated really fast once the light turned green and I have brand new tires. Everything went good when I slowed down
