Toys R Us is opening a new store in Chicago at the Harlem/Irving Plaza. It's a bit of a shithole. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

Edit: A lot of thriller and very little killer. great start to the series and looking forward to next episode. 22:15 2004 Lego Cloud City set complete with box 😱, this set is extremely expensive nowadays as they released it during a time when sales weren’t great. Boba Fett with his arm and leg printing is what really drives up the value of the set as it was groundbreaking for its time.

When TMNT(2007) came out I was 7. I had pretty much the entire toy line. It was probably my favorite thing ever at the time.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer for the Nintendo 64 was actually really fun; one of the only videogames based on The Phantom Menace movie.

That store is awesome. I used to go to a comics and collectibles store in Berkley MI called Time Travelers. Unfortunately, they closed a while ago, and that seems to be the trend with these types of places. Better check these places out while they're still around.

it is amazing to see all of these amazing toys, Some would say collectibles. "Eeeh keep it in the boooox" Okay, and what leave it in the closet, collect dust, and never enjoy it? it's not what it's for, and no matter what it's not meant to last forever. Ah forget that, it's great to look at all this stuff. it's like traveling back in time for me. for 26 minutes I felt like I was back to the decade that I loved! for 26 minutes, I was young again. thank you SO much! I needed it so badly.

The GI Joe shuttle Defiant was awesome, I got it for Christmas when I was seven, the only thing cooler was the USS Flagg

That 2002 Luke Skywalker had a "bloody stump" first edition of sorts, It's literally just red paint around the wrist on the hand even though a lightsaber cauterizes the wound.

Maverick's and game swap are in the same shopping center, not too far from Toy fan addict, just a few exits down 675 they have quite a bit of old toys in both stores and Game Swap has a row of active 90s arcade games

Try not to slam girl toys please. You're not 7. Girl toy collectors have just as many problems with corporations ruining our hobbies and psychos ruining our fandoms as men. (Its ok that you didn't like The Barbie Movie. It was fun. I loved it but it was a highly corporate outing with clear politics etc.....) But even with all that, it didnt ruin Barbie. And it really is a GOOD guide for corporations handling IP. Not a bad one. It respected the nostalgia and girls' play and included lots of fun callbacks to the actual toys. And once the actors shut their yaps about and stopped lecturing viewers about politics, the movie spoke for itself. (And even if I dont agree with its politics, I could still enjoy it. It didn't shit on fans. ) If corporations wre smart they'd learn that they could make more $ if they just girl power ip movies if the original IP was for GIRLS. And that everyone likes a little eye candy.
