Brilliant squad from 1983 to 1992,with the win at European Championship,but particullary I rewind the huge performance in a Summery Tournament in 1989,Denmark destroyed Greece 7-1,Brasil 4-0,what a squad,what a Bollenbesiddelse!!😉

Preben Elkjær was fantastic then and even better than Michael Laudrup. He got the BRONZE BALL at the 1986 WORLD CUP and was named as the most dynamic and powerful forward. He also got the title of most effective attacking duo with Michael Laudrup at that WC, despite 🇩🇰 being knocked out in the QF. He was one of the most unpredictable players I have ever seen and was an inspiration and a pleasure to watch. He was also the inspiration for HELLAS VERONA to win their only SCUDETTO ever and earned the nick name 'The Mayor'. There are still hundreds who put his name on the voting list 39 years later. He is my ultimate all-time hero 🤗.

Easy now mate 😁 Laudrup was only 20-21 in that time and played for Lazio untill summer ´85. He´s debut for Juve was ´85 , so he wasn´t even a star on Juve before season 85/86. In ´85 we´re talking about Maradona, Zico, Sokrates, Eder just to mention a few from my memory. I´ve never been a fan of Maradona, but on that time he was the best, simple as that. But few years later?? Yes, then he (Laudrup) became a world star. However...it´s just my opinion. Edit: Check out Arthur Coimbra 👌👌👌 Cheers from a dane

Porra! Me lembro racharam abertamente a parte das oitavas tavam desconheciveis.a.gente sabe o que aconteceu em 92 normalemente não teria que participar dessa eurocopa por que tava classificada segundo mas havia o imprevisto em decorrência da guerra civil da iogoslavia tivesse desclasificada alias a dinamarca foi repescada.

Yeah ever since 86 pretty much :) But for a few years in the mid-80's we had one of the best national sides ever. Glimpses of absolute genius in there. Such a lovely team with great relations on and off the pitch, and it showed.

Denmark got to the semi-final of Euro 2020. That matches the greatest accomplishment of the 80s team that reached the semi-final of Euro 1984.

Three times we made a great job in the Euro campaigns. Semifinals in the Euro 1984 in France and Euro 2020, and champions in the Euro 1992 in Sweden. Way to go for a small country like us. Since the last World Cup things have been very uneasy and the results poor. But we were lucky in the draw to Euro 2024 in Germany, and very close to qualify once again in november. A home-win against Slovenia and we are in pot 1 for the WC-draw. Denmark will rise again, even though we don´t have Elkjær, Arnesen and Laudrup on the pitch anymore..
