Loved this video of the area lived in back in 1969-1973. We lived 50 miles north of Venice. Many of these places i never knew about in the other towns. Wish i had explored more back then. Been to Vecenza & Verona but didn't see much. Knew Venice very well.

What a fantastic video, so many beautiful Roman inspired houses, I wonder why has nobody build a true Roman villa in the last centuries? They all worship the architecture but dare not rebuild a proper Roman style house? How would a ancient Roman house with 21st century furniture look like, anyone?

you know, some Roman style houses were built by Andrea Palladio (an italian architect, see from min 16:20 to the end) of this video to ) in XVI century in the country of Veneto region... called neoclassical style ! But none here in Italy want to rebuild an own house with a roman style, it would seem like fake and kitch, of bad taste in copying the originals of 2000 years ago of which we are surrounded a little everywhere ! In Los Angeles they did it for many famous actor villas, as well as for the Getty Museum in Malibu (or the White House and the Capitolium In Washington D.C) : but in a completely different context, where there is no proximity to the existence of authentic buildings from 2000 years ago nearby

Thanks you love this series and just amazing, you are better for Italian tourism than modern Itaialin governmnet. The mini Roman collusion in Verona that so well mantined these 2000 years, all the outstanding history in Italy that spans the centuries.

Scamozzi was not the pupil or assistant of Palladio, up to this day there is no document or proof that they ever met. Scamozzi was 40 years younger and worked on a different historical contest. Thanks for the beautiful images!
