I love post-rock, since many years. And I'm ok that some people use it to "heal" or get better mentally, I mean music is made for healing the soul. But I see a cringey tendency from post-rock lovers to exacerbate their pain and claim that they feel music like no one else when... well everybody can. Post-Rock is music, not a place to expose your problems and suffering. I'm not agaisnt people saying post-rock helped them get better, I'm deranged by those who will claim it in a strange and cringey lenght, juste to get drama and attention. Hope you're all good here. Cheers!
@sleepyhead74975 жыл бұрын
I'm actually in the mood to write my story down. Just because it would feel good and yes, attention also feels good when you feel alone or have no one to talk to. And I can't see why this is a bad thing in your opinion. Humans need attention and affection - it is what it is.
@williamseipp96915 жыл бұрын
I agree. there's some postrock I'm randomly listening to and the emo vibes I get make me switch the track. self-pity is cringey, as a former teenager I would know.
@MelodyGardenia2 жыл бұрын
If youre bothered by people sharing their edgy stories, dont read the comments. How people chose to cope is none of your business. Sometimes one needs to feel shitty in order to move on. It can be really freeing and therapeutic to actually let yourself feel bad, when youve been suppressing emotions for so long. Dont judge. Enjoy the music how you want, and we'll enjoy it how we want.

Track 1 has a Thom Yorke feel... This selection is respectful and I think helps transcend to the otherness of our pain and lost loved ones
@CottonMouthJoe3 жыл бұрын
we stab ourselves with trauma, drugs, relationships, illnesses, self stupidity, sins, delusions and pity instead of with beautiful emotional music. the wound won't bleed from music at least. melancholy can transcend into content acceptance. if even for a moment. music is precious

Being affected by tranquilizator, I fully can feel this music. Not only because of this drug, but because the reason of using such medicine. I barely can read /write letters now and everything that I want to say is "I feel this music with my very soul". It may sound schysophrenic, I know, but it is everything I can show in such... mode? Nvm. If there is someone from Russia/CIS who read this commend to the end, I would recommend to read some thing that I made like an hour ago. Here's the link: ficbook.net/readfic/9242956/23671504 This text decribes one of my nights that happen time to time. Yes, it's autobiographical except some not really significant things.
