Mendel Grossman's photographs from the Łódź ghetto are a visual record of Nazi atrocities against Jews during the Holocaust, including the photographer's family members. Grossman hid over ten thousand negatives in tin cans, hoping they would later be found. He died during a death march at the age of 32. Today, these black and white photos serve as a haunting testimony of what took place in the Łódź ghetto.
