Very helpful video, thanks for sharing. Might want to show folks how to unlock the car when the battery is dead. i had to look at about 20 videos before I found the solution. Battery charger negative to the tailpipe and positive to the rear license plate light, after removing the plastic guard. That put enough power into the car to open with the remote. Then able to access the trunk and open the hood. Lot of folks don't know this little hack. But it works.

What year was this car and how do you tell the car it has a new battery? The car looks like an E46 2004 Cabriolet. I don't think you need to tell the E46 cars when a new battery is installed....

E65 7 series and newer need to be registered to the car, but if you just have E46 or older then you do not.
