The two things he adds that xhaka didn't have was scoring and height/aerial ability. You can tell Havertz was suffering at Chelsea and I think by the time the season starts he'll have his confidence back.

Xhaka has aerial ability and when it comes to scoring, Xhaka was not allowed the freedom to do that until last season and he was better than Havertz who played as Chelsea’s number 9 given his defensive responsibilities. Xhaka’s shoes in the midfield is currently a bit large for Havertz so don’t compare them as if they’ve played similar positions all their lives.

For you guys that don't know football, his finishing for that goal is a finishing of a striker, even though his natural position is not. He scored a lot with that kind of finishing when he was in Leverkusen, that's why he was used as a false 9 in Chelsea and Germany national team. Okay I’ll be objective about Kai Havertz… I thought he was solid defensively. I’ll start by saying I hope Mikel can fine tune him offensively. I’ve noticed he ball watches a bit, watch Odegaard pass and movement approach compared to Havertz. On defense to offense transition, there’s no burst, he sort of passively jogs forward with the ball… also didn’t notice any runs into the box with intent when on the attack which I think is one of the roles we brought him for. It’s early days and I’m just a Sunday league player but that’s my honest assessment of him so far
