Wow the local politicians of Hinjewadi and Wakad must have got a huge payout. I have lived in Wakad for 5 years. It was in a pathetic state, there were absolutely no regulations on developing the area. The local cab drivers kept telling stories about random people who owned the lands being threatened by local goons and politicians who became rich overnight by selling them to developers. I wanted to get out of Wakad real bad. Now I see a huge effin mall built just 10 minutes from where I live. It's sad and pathetic because Hinjewadi is not a good place. It's jam-packed with the IT crowd who will throng to any mall nearby. I remember there was a Xion mall which was in a pathetic state most of the time. Looks like phoenix Mall wont survive for long.

Wakad is crawling with Chapris. Apart from the IT crowd, there is a huge migration of villagers from nearby villagers who have settled in Hinjewadi and some of these people just do nuisance, running local business and talk in an uncouth manner. It was toxic AF living in Wakad. Glad I got out of that hell hole.
