I'm not sure why they made Super Pac-Man play so differently from the original, but they were definitely on to something. This game did invent looking for keys to unlock doors, a staple mechanic in... well... probably every single video game ever made after this one.

Namco wanted new fresh ideas in Pac-Man, and would do it again for Pac And Pal.

That is a fantastic port, even if the screen has to scroll due to smaller resolution. Full screen mode is too hard to see.
