International Superstar Soccer Deluxe (known as Jikkyou World Soccer 2: Fighting Eleven in Japan) is a football game and the sequel to International Superstar Soccer developed and published Konami's, KCEO division. This Deluxe version was published first to the SNES, then the Mega Drive and finally the PlayStation. Without any doubt introduced many new features over its predecessor, such as improved artificial intelligence, opening scene, new difficulty levels (5 in total), climatic differentiation in stadiums, stadium names, new game modes (like an a co-up for 2 and 4 players), new reserve players for each team, graphics improvement, more voices in the narration and many more things. Really cool, really a deluxe version. No doubt for me is the best football game for videogames of all time, a classic. I said it once and I say one more: Allejo is the best player of this magnificent game. -

I used to love playing this game with a friend on my SNES back in '95. Like the description for the video says "Really cool, really a deluxe version.", it probably improved upon everything that the original game had.

This flashy intro almost made me epileptic. Also, the expectators sound like a blender turned on. Superb spritework and sfx (narrator, ball control sounds). It's a shame I could never get used to the controls, and by this, could never (EVER) get into this franchise like...everyone I know.

If I had to choose a soccer/futbol game to play (not a fan of the sport myself, but I know it's worldwide appeal), this one would be it. Konami kept it arcade style, fast paced, and looks good. This really is a lengthy series, right into the PS1 era, and IMO the best soccer game made.

This was probably the best soccer games of its time... but not very famous at all. The design of the gameplay is very tight and technical. It doesn't feel all sloppy and random like FIFA games of that vintage.

Interesting you should say that - my brother played this to death and was good on level 5 but always struggled to score more than a handful of goals per match. This does look more like level 3 (which is the highest level I could ever play lol), and the AI players don’t appear to be tackling as much as I remember they do in level 5. But...maybe this player is just very good and my memory is poor.. 🤷‍♂️

More hacks/mods than bootlegs. Since many people especially from south america were bittersweet about the country selection, people started hacking or modding this game so that they could play as their country representatives or nacional teams
