I remember playing this when I was very young, my dad had a master system emulator on the pc, thinks it was on DoS. Anyway. It was great but I remember all of the games were in Japanese, never actually knew what the story was as All the text was in Japanese... but man, I had such a good time playing these games. I love watching these videos and revelling in sweet nostalgia!!!

I'd upgraded to a SNES by the time 1993 rolled around, but that's a hell of an impressive looking game for the 8-bit titles, so much animation on the sprites.

You have no idea what you are talking about. In the early 90s PC-games had no chance against console-games. Most of the time they did not run, the PC did not have enough memory, the PC had no sound due to the missing sound-card etc. pp. The consoles were the best: game in, switch ON, game was running. ... In the mid-90s the consoles were still better.... Around 1997 PC-games became slowly equal, I just mention "Road Rash", which was on Saturn, Playstation and PC. In 1998 the PC became really good, for example with "Half-Still". Still, the consoles had Half-Life too. The SEGA Dreamcast looked so good in 1998, barely any PC could compete. Around 2002 consoles turned slowly into PCs. There was no big difference between the fist Xbox and a Pentium III, it was literally the same. But you could watch DVDs on the Xbox, while not each PC had a DVD-drive, DVD-players cost around 500 bucks at that time. Since then, PCs and consoles are both powerhouses. Speaking of: there is no "Battlefield 1943" on PC, how is that better?.... By the way, I installed Windows 98 around 200 times. Carrying around a console to a friends house was also better than carrying a tower and a 17"-screen. Playing certain games with good controllers was something impossible on PC in the 90s.

Yeah kind of crazy looking back how years into the Sega Genesis lifetime they were still developing these master system games but only in PAL region. I think it all had to do with not as many people there getting the newer system and staying with the master system so there's still a demand for games on it whereas here in NA more people had moved on to the Genesis so they just didn't bother making these games for the master system in NA. Still it seems weird that they didn't make Genesis versions of them. Lucky dime caper is another great title and ninja gaiden on master system is far better than the NES titles

The ending was cloned by an episode of Italian tale "Le Sette Meraviglie dei Paperi, il tempio di Amelide" in which a Greek ancestor of Donald (nephew of *Paperonios* , he he he) after being ridiculed as a crookish magician with a 3rd rate glass sphere drank a potion that made him grow like a balloon and float into air. Moreover the history contained a magic animal-morphing duel between Amelide (the Greek counterpart of Magica de Spell) and Merlin that resembled the one between Merlin and Madam Mim in the sword in the stone !

Oh man, you're absolutely right! I guess that's because two of the greatest video game companies of all time were in charge of developing them. If I'm correct, Capcom did all the Disney games for the early Nintendo consoles and Sega and Virgin were responsible for the awesome gems on the Master System and Genesis. Great times, these games were just right for a kids vivid fantasy (or at least mine). Sometimes less is more, not to say that todays games ain't awesome!

This is the Master System. It can display many colors in a single sprite, so it looks quite advanced for an 8bit system. I remember at first thinking around 2003 "What is the difference between this and the Mega Drive, besides the sound and the lack of parallax scrolling?" I discovered later that this console can handle less sprites at once compared to the 16bit system, and probably has less memory for code.
