The most unique game of the entire game history. Even though it was a comedy game, I felt terrified playing this back then. The atmosphere and music was very intense and I there was a serious message underneat the goofy characters and gameplay. It has its own unique presence and charisma.

This is INCREDIBLE. My mind is blown by the originality and artistic choices of this title. Absolutely otherworldly and fun as hell. I remember playing this when I was a kid, I didn't get far in the game, but I still remember it very clearly and I enjoyed it so much. I don't remember seeing anything like this ever before. When I first played this, way back in 98 or so, I declared this was the best game ever. Playing it again now, on Steam, however, I must say... this may *still* be the best game ever. I'm hard pressed to name a game that is as immersive and engaging as MDK, and that feels grandiose and weird at the same time. The level designs are absurd, with some unprecedented visual effects for its day (just look at the reflective surfaces on 26:33 -- that stuff is insane), and the gameplay keeps drawing you in. I agree this game *needs* a sequel or reboot, but that does not sacrifice the flavour and mood of the original just to appease the execs.
@IgorWelkenbach9 жыл бұрын
+Fernie Canto Does it run on Win10 or other 64 bit systems?
@FernieCanto9 жыл бұрын
The Steam version works fine for me, and it seems the GOG version works too. The only thing I needed to do was download a patch for the Steam version, which fixes the textures and other issues. It can be downloaded from the forum, in the community page.

also, at the first level, i broke the game a bit. It's possible to go through the hallway of robots without the alert bot, by sniping them all at the door and a lot of sidestepping. I remember this game I played it years ago back in the late 90s. I never got that far, I got to the part on the second level with the pendulum thing. But I still remember the first level fondly I think I'm going to Wikipedia this game now. But as I watched the whole thing I realize it's not that great but what do you expect it's an old game. And that ending with the crazy music video I thought it was in German that first but I think it's in French. Man games were way more laid back back then. You've got to miss the old days when things weren't so serious and more about being fun.

Many hours, weeks, months of fun ( something i can't find anymore in these last 15 years in the video games world ) . It's an instant classic and the 3DFX logo woooow!! such great memories . I still have the original game in a big box with the CD-Rom and a booklet from the devs . It was a limited version . MDK2 was shit they have lost the real fun and cartoonish idea from the first one . ( Same happened with another game Shadowman the first one was excellent and the second one was completely a failure ) .
