Great video! I was born and raised in Memphis and have been an Elvis fan my whole life. I was lucky enough to see him in person twice, although never in concert. Once was on the lawn at Graceland when he was riding his horse and signing autographs at the front wall. The second was when he attended a WFL Memphis Southmen football game at the Liberty Bowl. He would sit in the press box. My mom gave me the binoculars so that I could get a close-up look. I love touring Graceland and I have been more times than I can actually count lol.

The new complex is just to over the top for the average Elvis fan with that being said It doesn't stop me from visiting Graceland 😉. This last Elvis wk was the best. My friend and I chose the ultimate vip package and was blessed to hold one of his concert belts in my own hands and I plan to be back next August during Elvis wk

Outstanding... Micah, the tour guide... I guess they moved his gold and platinum records somewhere else in the complex... Last time I went, they were in the racket ball court .... Are his planes still there ... They were fun to walk around in... Everything was gold plated.... There will never be another Elvis... he was great... Great video on the King, I remember dad driving us past Graceland back in 1976 on a road trip. I attended the Kings last concert in Indianapolis Indiana at Market Square. Sitting on Row 3 from the stage. A friends mom was the vice president if his fan club Indiana chapter. She got a meet and great before the show. We stayed in our seats

Micah, if you go watch some Ashley Adventures videos, she'll tell stories about Graceland. For example the light fixtures in the kitchen have been updated since when Elvis was alive. So there's a few things in Graceland that's not as accurate as you may think. Even the 2 white chairs in the formal living room isn't the same chairs as when Elvis was alive. The chairs had taller backs, back when Elvis was alive. It's understandable that they had to upgraded things over time. Just thought I'd share that with you. 😉 I love Elvis and Graceland too. Linda Thompson helped create and decorate the stained glass and the white couch was reupholstered after Elvis died and the original red decor was all removed before turned into museum in 1982.

Was there in I believe 78, my friend said 79, we were on our way back to WI from Florida. Walked up looked at the Graves and left. Stopped again in 82 on my way back to WI from The Worlds Fair in Knoxville. Walked up and went through the house. Very short tour. They let us go from the entrance down some steps into the basement, back up out some back door towards the Pool and Graves on the side of the house and then said that's it, leave. And we did. I wish I'd of taken some pictures but inside we couldn't. Outside my friend did. I'll maybe go back this year. I'll go through Bufford Pussers house in Adamsville and then to Kentucky through the Ark. WHO'S IN.

The house is not as it was decorated when he passed, right? Wasn't a lot of it darker with red and black? I think the peacocks were designed by Linda Thompson, his girlfriend at the time.

During the regular season (not Christmas) it’s mostly decorated as he had it early on with the blue drapes, etc. During Christmas they bring the red out
