I was pretty impressed with the track not having been there. Unfortunately, it was a very late start due to a blown transformer and no lights. Eventually, a generator showed up, lights were tied in and we were back to racing. I hope that doesn't put a damper on the WoO returning Kennedale.

Cowtown was also 15 years behind code, facility was run down and the whole gig was run by stubborn old heads. Grew up there and frankly, glad KSP survived over it. Better for the sport long term

@@user-ws6ob6lk6g LOL, sounds like Bo DQ'ed ya once? WoO is kinda particular about track layout, catch fences, etc. , they've been sued before. Cowtown wouldn't have been a track they would run at, but they ran USAC midgets and ASCS there. . Seems funny to me KSP got built, ran for two years, then got mothballed for 4-5 years before reopening. Truth is growth made both Cowtown and the dragstrip across the street close. KSP is next. Da Bowl is done, the best dirt track facility south of Lucas Oil (MO) is TMS, which isn't used but twice a year if that, not exactly a weekly track, they wouldn't bother unless they could guarantee two or three thousand spectators in that 10000+ grandstand. Wheatland makes it (weekly racing) work, and they are in the middle of nowhere. DFW area has been the fastest growing area in the US for twenty years, the NIMBY's (not in my back yard) have taken over, soon RPM and any other track even close to the NIMBY 'burbs is gonna be gone in 5 years. Progress.

Just so everyone knows. USUALLY if they dont show a crash on the highlights. Its because a driver got hurt. Pretty much started when Jason Johnson crashed and died. They didnt even show the crash. They just cut straight to the restart when Jason wasnt even there. Same thing with Carson Macedo at Knoxville last year. They didnt show that replay OR the part where his car caught fire. So maybe we dont complain about not getting to see ppl potentially sustaining serious injuries

When will people realize that this is a business? The tracks and drivers need people in the stands and viewers on the streaming services. The only reason you get the highlights is to entice you into being one of those 2 things. Heats all won from front row, dash won from front row,c and b won from front row and of course the Glorious A main won from the front row, how is that racing versus being a parade?
