greatest piece of wisdom is that world of tanks needs to have skill-based matchmaking systems - every other major game like it puts players together based on skill level, but all we have to show for it is an invisible wn8 ratio. Skill based matchmaking when wargaming?

I really like this series The fact is, we as a single player in a team can’t always relly on team mates in such situations. If new players don’t know how to play how can we be effective ? I think that the MM should be made depending on the skill level of every players just like the new pletoon system. This way the gap between more experienced players and new ones would be reduced and the skill level will grow as the players gets more experience But this is only my point of view of course

If bad players only get matched with bad players and they know they are matched against bad players you will often see the argument "im only bad because my team sucks!" (just look at LoLs playersbase). Bad players will be bad players regardless of SBMM because they dont reflect on their own gameplay. Sure, you can hone your mechanical skill in SBMM but since WoT is rather slow you dont need to practice quick shots as much as in CoD or CS. In the latter two games a player with bad game sense but fast reaction times can dominate slower players. But because game sense is more important in WoT than reaction time you can practice game sense against every opponent. I would argue it is a good thing that random battles are truly random because you can copy better players to try out their position and hone your game sense that way.

@@jup331 If bad players in WoT really reflect on themselves and follow advices/plays from good players, we wouldnt be complaining. The fact is that if wg matches bad players against bad players, then good players can actually enjoy the game against other good players. I would much rather have a good enemy that i have to vanquish than a trash toptier that throws the game.

Actually informative and very needed for the player base as long as they watch it. Looks like a very good series, probably not a bad idea to do some collabs with your CCs that are actually good at the game and highlight their thought process so players get further insight if you decide to go deeper into this series.

Good video; I think the section about mines was the most informative because it had real-world examples and the reasons why certain positions were good. For future videos I would suggest focusing on including as many real-world examples as possible along with explanations for why those examples fit with the lesson of the day.

MM can be better. 1st off, below T8 only one (1) lvl in tier difference e.g., Tier 6 vs Tier 7 or Tier 5 but never a three sequential levels i a game. The only exception would possibly be Tier 8. Tier 8 - Tier 10 not an issue, tanks below Tier 8 only one (1) level difference max. You will never see a Tier 6 vs Tier 8 or a 7 vs a 9 etc., and of course take into account skill level. Tired at times loosing so many games in a row so badly i.e., 3 vs 15, etc. Also, I recommend a new action for in game play, I call it "Salvage Ops". This is where you can stop in contact with a destroyed tank and salvage their consumables, however, once start you cannot stop the process or do anything else for approximately 30s or whatever, different dynamic. I think this would be especially useful if yours is on cool down, would make it instantly available. Thoughts, perhaps apply it to ammunition (must be correct type of ammunition), what does the community think?

10:34 - that shot that does 756 damage. what's up with that visual bug? the one where a shell hits a tank but visually it passes through?? I dont remember this happening in the old days, but like 3 or 4 years back this started happening. I thought it might be only on my game since from time to time an update would make my game have visual bugs but never heard of someone else having the same problem. But now I see it even in the official channel, and its a bit annoying. thank you wtg

This should be forced onto players after their 100th battle, as like a "Congrats!" and then a video starts playing. Too many people suffer the consequences of people who aren't informed. And many don't want to seek out a video like this, so they need to be IN-GAME

Please wargaming this is good that you are making these videos but as mentioned this is too late really, these videos should’ve been made many years ago. But on the bright side it is step one in the right direction - rather than making the game easy, you should be helping new players get good with these tutorials and guides instead of making game mechanics that ruin it for everyone else :)
