I'm from NZ and while I won't go so far as to say I'd prefer the Blossoms to beat the ABers for the Bill, I will say if the Men in Black go down to the Men in Red I could stomach it. Japan play rugby the way the game is supposed to be played--run around opposition brutes, pass to someone, kick to no-one, tackle anything that moves in your direction.

I'm a pretty big Scotland fan, and I've never been so confused when watching a game. I screamed and applauded every try that was scored, on both sides. It was the minutes silence for the typhoon victims, then cutting straight to the Japanese anthem that got me. Was balling my eyes out. Couldn't have lost to a better nation - a game I'll remember for years

For the first time, in the games history, the quarter-finals has an Asian finalist. Well done Japan...VERY WELL DONE. Even though I’m British, and of course then naturally feel like I should route for Scotland… I very much wished all my heart that Japan would win. They so very much deserve it. Trust me when I say there are no fans like Japanese fans I went to a baseball game in Hiroshima to watch the Carps play the Hanshin Tigers. I had never seen anything like the atmosphere I experienced that day in the stadium and around the city. Literally, the whole city was wearing Carps merch and decorated their stores, bars and restaurants.

Rugby is an extraordinary game, you turn up, put the jersey on, give your all for the team and you are bonded by the struggle. It accepts everyone and is a open door to any community world wide. Japan thourghly earned that place and no Irish fan or Scots fan would do anything but offer them their congratulations on a finely crafted, skillfully executed tournament. I know a few Irish people who were in the stadium that night, yes they lost but they still cherish the memory.
