Fun vid as always Kev. I was going to sympathise with 8s Steve, but you gave him a whole new car, which was classy. I'd guess with that Xmaxx collision with the cheaper car, the cheaper car probably hit the Xmaxx on the suspension arm. Saying that, I'm amazed you didn't break an arm when you were running the Xmaxx with slicks and hit that pole. You never can tell.

Im an old guy who wanted to wanted back into it and watched for a long time before bought a new one. Started with a bangood special and now have a rustler 4x4. X Maxx is my dream RC. Massive tires work very well in the winter for mud bogging. Any time there's very little grip. I'd never run them in the summer like that ! Also, I lengthened my chassis to reduce the constant wheelies.
