Light & sound controller features & improvements, compared with old version for ATmega328P:
- better sound quality, sampling rate up to 22’050Hz, instead of 16’000
- Multiple sounds can play simultaneously
- real DAC outputs, no R/C filter circuit required
- easier sound file conversion thanks to bitlunis conversion tool (link down below)
- the variable speed engine sound can play at the same time as an additional sound with fixed speed (a horn or a siren for example)

can u explain to me how to convert engine sound datas with respect to coming stream data. Which algorihtm runs in codes. I want to simulate smt like but there will be gas pedal and streaming data according to pedal movement.

Just out of curiosity. I just need air horn sounds for a model I'm building. Is there a module with just that or can you turn off everything but the horn?

That's just amazing!! I wonder wether you thought about wireless arduino trailer lights (or even remote motorized trailer support legs) via your "unit". You know, duplicate the lights output into one of those bt or rf tx and rx sold for a few bucks on ebay, aliexpress, etc.

The clutch and gear shifting sounds great! I think the sound matches the truck much better than what I've seen from the MFC. I was able to match some of the clutch effect by mixing in some slowness to the ESC channel in my transmitter, and having the ESP32 read a separate throttle Audio channel slaved to the throttle channel. Not quite as impressive, but it works if anyone else wants to keep direct control of the ESC. I've started work on simulating an automatic transmission (the truck I'm replicating uses a 6 speed allison automatic) by calculating engine rpm and shaft rpm at specific gear ratios. I was wondering if you have a suggestion if I wanted to change the max engine rpm sound without changing the turbo sound? The only idea I have at the moment is to use TOP_SPEED_MULTIPLIER and having the turbo sound skip every x samples.

Thank you. If you want to simulate an automatic transmission, you could change the curves.h file. I don't see why you would like to lower the turbo rpm. It's not really critical in my opinion, but yes, you could try to skip samples.

I couldn't get a feel I was happy with by playing around with the curves. By doing it this way I can set specific and separate RPM shift points for shifting up or down, so it can for example gear up at 3500 and continue in the next gear from 2200, but also wait to gear down until 1500. I could also potentially add a function to dynamically move the shift points based on load or requested acceleration. Engine RPM = sound and shaft RPM = optional ESC speed. I'll hopefully upload a video soon.

​@@WombiiActual I also never was happy with the curves and don' use the "shifted" curve anymore. You Idea sounds promising and logical. For now, I just love my semi automatic, real 3 speed transmission with automatic throttle altering. Can't wait to see your next video.

@@TheDIYGuy999 I have a Tamiya high lift truck that I think would love your manual gear shifting sound. I specifically like that you're unloading the transmission for the shifts. It could even be useful on its own even without the sound. For the allison transmission simulation, I seem to have gotten lucky, as the advertising claims that the torque converter keeps sending power to the wheels even while shifting, so it doesn't hurt too much to not have esc control.
