Absolutely 💯 when they teamed up I knew I was going to be legendary. Honestly, I didn't like Nick at first. He was my least favorite on sxs. But then over time I realized the content was only good when he was filming, he has a way of capturing the moment.. and then when he didn't reck the supra when the water blasted him from behind at like 200 mph I gained all the respect as a driver for him..

the sled you're pulling has the weightbox that moves towards the puller until it hits some limit switches on the rail. these limit switches engage the plate jacks which drops the plate and picks the sled off its wheels. the weightbox is driven by the sled wheels that are attached to a backwards car/truck transmission. Depending on the class or the competition, organizers can either add weight to the weightbox, or change which gear the transmission is in. the weight obviously makes it a more difficult pull, but the selected gear changes when the lift-plate hits the dirt down the track (50 ft versus 150 ft)

I wonder how they set the sled for that pull? A few years ago a couple of guys brought 2 Steiger QuadTracs and a Cat Challenger to our local pulls. With the sled maxed out it didnt even phase the Steigers. It worked the Challenger, but couldnt stop it.

The sleds can be set up for show or for stopping the puller. Additional spikes can be deployed under the sled to create additional drag.

Usually us kinda stock classes jack up the frame. Take weight off the axle. Jame some wood blocks in there. No suspension moves. Weight in the front bumper and run. Much more traction 😂
